A former Minneapolis police officer was sentenced Wednesday to nine months in the county workhouse for a high-speed pursuit that killed an innocent St. Paul motorist.Brian Michael Cummings, 39, pleaded guilty in April to criminal vehicular homicide in the July 6 crash that killed 40-year-old Leneal Lamont Frazier. GILROY – A 21-year-old Salinas man was killed in a solo-vehicle collision over the weekend on Highway 101 near Gilroy, according to the California Highway Patrol.The crash was reported at 11:25 p.m. Saturday just north of State Route 25, the CHP said in a statement.The man was driving northbound when he veered to the left off the roadway and lost control of his 2004 Honda Accord, according to the CHP.
